Born And Raised On The Ravishing Island Of St. Croix, Jahlion Became Inspired When His Mother Would Play Reggae Artists Such As Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Garnet Silk, Steel Pulse And Bunny Wailer. Music Became The Air That Sustained Him Every Day As A Youth In The Virgin Islands.
At The Age Of 13, Jahlion Developed The Unyielding Appetite To Obtain As Much Music As He Possibly Could Even If It Meant Going To Extreme Lengths To Do So. For Miles He Would Ride Taxis From One End Of The Island To The Next Just To Borrow A CD So He Could Rip And Burn The Contents. For Hours At A Time He Would Rip And Burn Cd’s Hundreds Of Times Over So He Could Accomplish His First Goal Of Building His Music Collection As Bountiful As Those Of DJ’s In His Area.
Whether Down By Frederiksted’s Fish Market On Sunday Afternoons Or Illegally Inside A Club Due To His Young Age, Jahlion’s Concentration Was Always On The DJ. Along With Endless Encouragement And Benevolence From DJ Slik And DJ Fresh, Jahlion’s Motivation And Passion To Be A World-Renowned DJ Grew Extensively. His Fascination With Every Aspect Of The Turntables While Observing The Crowd’s Titillating Reaction To The Way The DJ’s Would Spin Their Favorite Songs Initiated Jahlion’s Vigor To Prosper As An Unstoppable Musical Force – The Jahlion Sound Movement.
Jahlion Started Out “Early Warming” A Great Number Of Dances On St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. These Experiences Cultivated And Refined His Juggling Skills Remarkably. Observing Sound Systems Such As Afterdark, Kulcha Shock, Death Row, And Glamorous While Working Closely With Da Krunkmaster DJ Slik And Trinity Krew Endowed Jahlion With The Abundant Opportunity To Advance Quickly And Competently In The Game.
In 2005, Jahlion Relocated To Savannah, Georgia Where He Continued To Display His Passionate Regard For Reggae Music And DJ’ed For A Number Of Parties And Clubs. Not Too Far Away In Hinesville, GA Was The Krunkmaster DJ Slik; The Two Quickly Linked Up And Tag-Teamed The Dirty South.
After Moving Again, Jahlion Saw Enormous Opportunities All Around Him In Atlanta, GA And Promptly Immersed Himself In The Very Competitive Club Scene. His Constant Persistence And Distinguishing Skills Landed Him Multiple Club Performances Weekly And On Two Different Radio Station Mix Shows.
