DJ D-LYFE


Lights dimmed, senses heightened, the ‘average’ steps aside as “the world’s greatest” approaches. Before an official introduction is made, a cloud of nervous whispers falls over the audience who sense they are in the presence of greatness, but not daring to think that this DJ could be so different to what they are used to. His voice booms over the system, saturating every corner of the venue, his fingers lace the records without prejudice of genre, the crowd surrenders as they hypnotically follow his every direction. Lights on, music stops, heartbeats reduce, the dazed crowd begs for more, the competition is left in awe, the promoters rub their hand with the sweet sound of success as the DJ, DJ D-LYFE, bows to his music, thankful for blessing him with yet another day of doing what he does best

As a young phenom, D-LYFE’s career began when his cousin, “Q-Tip” recognized the youth’s natural ability to captivate an audience. He quickly added D-LYFE to A Tribe Called Quest’s “Love Movement “Tour. D-LYFE’s first ever performance involved being a hype man for a 55,000 deep crowd supporting the “Free Tibet” Concert in Washington D.C. in 1999, and as they say, the rest is history. D-LYFE went on to become the most in demand celebrity DJ, touring with industry elites such as Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh. “Touring with those guys back then, being the young kid on tour, was not only an honor and a privilege, it was Also a tremendous learning experience for me” recalls D-LYFE. “one of the most valuable things I learned was how to connect with the audience. How to feed off their energy, their passion, and in turn expose mine, and I would fall in love with music over and over again – every performance, every night of every tour.”

In addition to pioneers, D – LYFE has had the pleasure of DJ’ing world tours and performing alongside the likes of Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Diddy, Akon, Snoop, Ja- Rule, Chris Brown. Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Wocka Flocka, Ashanti, Janet Jackson, L.L. Cool J, RUN DMC, Tinesha, Ginuwine, Gucci Mane, Mario Winans, Soulja Boy, Missy Elliot, Jadakiss, fat Joe, Chingy and Many more. He has also performed at official parties for BET, MTV, The Grammy Awards, and breathed life into the aristocratic world of Malcolm Forbes (chairman and CEO of Forbes Magazine) by spinning at his London birthday party. Further still D-Lyfe’s craft has taken him all over the world, and he has gained particular appreciation in Germany, where he continues to headline sold out events; Brazil, where he DJ’d the county’s official 2009 New Year’s Eve celebration, and is perhaps best known for his eclectic, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B Mash-Up parties that now have a cult following. Africa, where he continues to move stadium sized audiences in South Africa, Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique, Gabon and Senegal. D-LYFE has also performed to a sea of hands in Dubai, Lebanon, Russia, Kazakhstan Australia, and Japan. This global reach has afforded D-LYFE the title, “World Famous”.

No stranger to the media, D-LYFE has appeared on many popular television shows, including The View, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee; guest DJ on BE T’s 106 And Park, MTV Spring Break, BET Spring Bling (Segment Host) , Soul Train , Top Of The Pops ( London ) , MTV Russia, MTV Brazil and Telemundo, as well as the New Year’s Eve celebrations for MTV and ABC . D-LYFE has been featured in several publications, The Source Magazine, XXL and the U.S. and Brazilian editions of Rolling Stone. He has also appeared gas as artist, guest DJ or Holst gas on various radio shows around the world, including a special set performance on Funkmaster Flex’s radio show for New York’s Hot 97.1 And his current open invitation on Brazilian radio 89.3 and Sao and Paolo (over 50 million listeners).

D-LYFE applied the same unbelievable work ethic and drive when he’s in the studio producing his highly-popular mixtapes or working on projects, such as being an active consultant for Akon and at the beginning and throughout his career, Co-writing and featuring on A Tribe Called Quest’s famous “Pad & Pen” track from the Love Movement album, According and directing reggae artist Bounty Killer’s “my experience” mixtape, and Beenie Man’s “Romie” Hip Hop remix. And to his most recent success of Tinesha’s hit record “2 on Remix ft. LL Cool J”. D-LYFE has a worldwide fan base, who continues to show their appreciation for his true art, which is abundantly clear by visiting his social communities.


Zurich, Switzerland is his base to further cultivate the art of music in Europe, and now Las Vegas is the home of his Grindin Radio Show-D-LYFE is on a mission to reinvent the face, quality and value urban DJ’s around the globe.
